Sitong, born in 2000 in Jilin City, Jilin Province,China.
2018-2022
Undergraduate study at the Art Studio of Sociality, School of Experimental Artand Technological Art,
Central Academy of Fine Arts;From 2023 onwards, as a postgraduate student in the
Overall Art and Crossover Research Programme of the
School of Experimental Art and Technological Art of the Central Academy of Fine
Arts (CAFA).
An Sitong’s art works focusing on the poetic existence of the moments in daily
life that can be easily overlooked, daily creation focuses on
"retaining" this poetic meaning, and through the combination of daily
objects, the relationship between objects and the environment, and some kind of
dynamic interventions, he digs deeper and presents the poetic meanings inside
the urban and rural spaces, and his works include the "Urban and Rural
Group Poem" project, and so on. His works include the "Twelve Water Stations"
series and the "Return" series in the "Urban and Rural Group
Poem" project. He also creates many paintings and drawings and likes to
create images that resemble fables or fairy tales, such as the "Italian
Fairy Tales" series. He is also a keen writer and has produced a series of
short stories which I call "Cosmic Literature".
